We are excited to announce our monthly Sisterhood Game Nights this year! Join us for “Mah Jongg Wednesdays” in Scheinman Hall beginning Wednesday, February 10 at 7:30pm.

Additional 2016 game nights to be announced.

I would like to announce that PBJC Sisterhood is honoring Gail Feldman as its 2016 Woman of Achievement. Gail is someone to admire and emulate and is well deserving of this honor. She is currently on the Sisterhood board as a co-chair of the Donor event, has chaired the gift shop in past years and helps me out at every event. She had been on the ritual committee for 20 years, attends every Friday night service at the Chelsea (and PBJC) and volunteers at the Morristown Soup Kitchen. She selflessly gives of herself and her time to Sisterhood, our Synagogue and our Community. The Garden State Women’s League is hosting a Chai Tea for all the Sisterhood honorees on June 2 at 6:30 at Temple Beth Am in Springfield. I am sure it will be a great evening.

I would like to thank Nancy Drillings for sending out a great Passover package to our kids in college. My own college student actually texted me with a thank you to myself and to Nancy. I am sure the kids will be looking forward to getting another package in the fall.

As of now, you will have received your information about the Donor event. I look forward to the dinner, going into New York City without worrying about parking, and seeing the show “Waitress”. Thank you to Eve Fields and Gail Feldman for organizing such a wonderful event.

Don’t forget you can purchase scrip all summer long and have it apply for next year. Think about it for graduations, birthdays and just for yourself. Contact Kim Stiller at or 973-439-5652.

This year has been filled with so many entertaining and exciting Sisterhood events. Thank you to my Board for all your hard work and dedication to Sisterhood. I am looking forward to planning next year (and possibly a summer program). Please contact me with any suggestions or concerns at or 973-439-5657. Have a happy, fun and sun filled summer!!

Now is the time for all Sisterhood members to come to the aid of Torah Fund. We hope that all Sisterhood members will contribute at least $6.11 to Torah Fund. $6.11 is the Gematra for Torah fund and if each Sisterhood member would donate that amount we would make our Torah Fund commitment.
