It’s hard to believe that October is here and fall is upon us! On behalf of my family and the PBJC Sisterhood, I’d like to wish everyone a happy, healthy and sweet New Year! Sisterhood is always happy to be part of the High Holidays at PBJC… it is our pleasure to provide the beautiful fresh flower arrangements for the bemahs in both the main service and family service every year. We also sponsor the delicious break fast meal following the Neilah service. A big thank you to Libby Stein for putting it all together year after year!
Sisterhood began our year with a welcome event for the Nursery School moms. We enjoyed a night of learning about “mindfulness” and having some wine and desserts and getting to know each other. I would like to thank Staci Handler and Cory Solotoff, our Z’Havah chairs, for a job well done!
We are looking forward to our annual Kick Off Breakfast on Sunday October 15th where we will enjoy a delicious breakfast and catch up with old friends and make new ones.
November will be a busy month for Sisterhood with the annual Paid Up dinner and program on Thursday November 16th followed by The Marketplace on Thursday November 30th. We will have exciting new vendors so come out and shop for all of your holiday gifts!
Finally, we will have our first Sisterhood Board Meeting on October 25th at 730pm. Everyone is welcome and I hope you can all attend and be a part of this wonderful group of women! It’s never to late to join Sisterhood, membership brochures can be found in the main office or contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org for more info.
As always, thank you for your support of the PBJC Sisterhood and may you all be inscribed for a good year!

Now is the time for all Sisterhood members to come to the aid of Torah Fund. We hope that all Sisterhood members will contribute at least $6.11 to Torah Fund. $6.11 is the Gematra for Torah fund and if each Sisterhood member would donate that amount we would make our Torah Fund commitment.
