Important High Holy Day Information

Please note the following important information about services this year:

  • Everyone in attendance must have either a valid member or guest ticket, which should be presented upon arrival at services.
  • Everyone in attendance at services, including High Holy Day services, must be fully vaccinated and must present proof of vaccination (either by presenting their vaccination card upon arrival or by providing the card in advance to the PBJC office in order to be put on the list of vaccinated members and guests).
  • We will be keeping track of all those in attendance at services in the event that contact tracing is necessary. Please be patient upon your arrival as you check-in.
  • Masks are required for all service attendees at all times, regardless of vaccination status. Those who are reading or leading the service may remove their mask, if they choose, when they are behind the plastic shields.
  • The ritual committee requests that each member bring his or her own Tallit as we have only a limited number available.
  • All outdoor services (preliminary prayers on both mornings of Rosh HaShanah and Yom Kippur, as well as concluding services on Yom Kippur) are weather permitting. In the case of inclement weather, those services will be held indoors, in Scheinman Social Hall.
  • When sitting down for main services in Scheinman Social Hall, we ask that you leave two seats between you and the party next to you. Extra seating for the main service will be available in the PBJC Sanctuary, where the service will be shown via livestream.
  • Please DO NOT park in the office park located next to PBJC at 170 Changebridge Road as you will be subject to being towed. Spots that are reserved for handicapped parking with PBJC special parking permits will be reserved until 11 AM. Any spots not used by 11 AM will be opened up to general parking.
  • While we will not be serving a full Break Fast meal as we have done in the past, there will be some light “grab and go” refreshments available at the conclusion of Yom Kippur services, compliments of Sisterhood.
