Sisterhood

Pine Brook Jewish Center’s award-winning Sisterhood is a vital part of the PBJC community, providing much-needed support and services to the Synagogue and the populations it serves. We are a group of women who are actively involved in activities that enrich both the Synagogue and our community in general. We also work to enhance our personal growth and Jewish involvement.

We sponsor many of the ongoing events at PBJC and, through our fundraising efforts, are able to donate money for programming that benefits the entire congregation. Our Mishloach Manot Basket Program for Purim has been, and will continue to be, a great success. Sisterhood also provides many important services to PBJC. We supply challah and cake after Friday night Shabbat services, as well as food for Selichot and Yom Kippur “Break the Fast.” We sponsor programs for the Religious School, Youth Groups, and Early Childhood Center and send packages to college students who cannot be home for the holidays. Sisterhood, in conjunction with the Caring Committee, assists its members in need whether during a family illness or while in mourning. Additionally, Sisterhood sells tribute cards to mark life cycle events, sells scrip for local stores and operates the PBJC Gift Shop.

Our Sisterhood organization is asking for the support of every woman at Pine Brook Jewish Center. We invite you to join us whether you are a longstanding member of the congregation, brand new to PBJC, or just looking for Jewish involvement. If you or someone you know is not a member of PBJC, but would like to be involved in our Sisterhood organization, we welcome all Jewish women from the local area.

Come join and be a part of this wonderful group of ladies. It’s never too late to join!

Men's Club

The PBJC Men’s Club fosters cultural, social, and religious activities and programs for the members of the Men’s Club, Synagogue youth, the congregation and the community.

In addition, we seek to promote understanding and awareness of Jewish heritage among our members and their children.  Membership is open to any adult Jewish male of the congregation.

Dues are $75 annually and cover all events.
